HubSpot Set Deal Close Date on Close Stage
Updating the Close date automatically on a HubSpot deal when the deal closes (either Won or Lost) is usually a handy timesaver, and you'd typically keep this on.
But for pipelines with multiple Closed Won stages (for example), you may want to keep this setting off and instead set via a workflow on a specific stage.
Example scenario: set the close date on a deal once the invoice has been paid (or a PO provided).
Adjacent to this is seeing more pipelines mixing in Sales and Finance processes into the same pipelines. One driver for this is reporting requests from Boards (as opposed to Sales working more closely with Finance :-)
